It's early morning in Sooty's house and the three friends have had a lie in, to the surprise of Matthew who wakes them up! Matthew decides to cook a bit of a celebration breakfast, with both Sooty and Soo looking forward to a big breakfast, however Sweep says he isn't hungry. Soo is in such a great mood she gives Sweep a bone back that she hid from him, but he isn't interested as he says again that he isn't hungry. Downstairs Matthew has been waiting for the gang to arrive, with Sooty and Soo looking forward to their breakfast, however Matthew has some bad news! The house has been burgled of all the food! All that the mystery thief left are a few beans between them! Soo explains that there is plenty of food in her kitchen, however when Matthew, Sooty and Soo get there, they discover that the food has been taken from her kitchen as well, with only a few beans left again! Sweep isn't interested again, stating he still isn't hungry. Matthew decides it's time to call in a professional to investigate and Sherlock Sooty arrives on the case! Sherlock Sooty decides to look for clues and decides they all point to Matthew being the culprit and wants to arrest him! Later Matthew explains that the gang went down to the supermarket and bought more food, so they should have a nice breakfast the next morning, but someone is lurking about shining a torch in Matthew's kitchen, could it be the burglar? Matthew awakes to find that all the food has been burgled again, including the food Soo bought for her kitchen and Sweep still isn't hungry. Sherlock Sooty is back again to take fingerprints, but once again it's Matthew's he decides to take, which leads him wanting to arrest poor Matthew for the crime once again! Sweep rushes to tell Matthew he has seen the burglar trying to break into an upstairs window, but it turns out to be a very annoyed windown cleaner, who tips his bucket of water over poor Matthew! Later on, Matthew is about to get in bed while explaining Soo has been down to the supermarket for even more food, when he hears a noise downstairs. Matthew, Sooty and Soo go downstairs, to find Sweep Sleep Walking! Sweep is cooking the food in his sleep and eating it. It seems that it was Sweep as the food burglar all along. Matthew gets Sweep back into bed, using Sweep's favourite bone. At last the mystery is solved!
